On March 31, 2016 the Kirtland’s Warbler Conservation Team was officially launched! This group will steward the communication and cooperation among a diverse set of partners to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Kirtland’s Warbler and its breeding, wintering and migratory habitats. They carry on the tradition of the Kirtland’s Warbler Recovery Team to share information and provide a forum for new ideas and partnerships to form and key conservation challenges to be addressed. Currently a Steering Committee is meeting regularly to discuss formation of the group and identify which tasks are most important to work on in the short and long term.
