Celebrate World Bird Migration Day with Huron Pines, Thunder Bay Audubon Society and Querkus Creative for our 2023 North Point Nature Preserve Big Birding Sit. This event is open to people of all levels of birding experience, experts will be on site to help fledgling birders build their skill. Participants will meet at the NOAA Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center before caravaning out to the preserve. We’ll group up and head out to different locations around the preserve to document the birds we see and hear. 

Participants should expect some walking on two-track trails and to be outside for the duration of the event. Bathrooms will be available on site. A reusable water bottle, snacks, sun protection, and binoculars/spotting scopes are recommended.
