Connect to Nature Through iNaturalist
April 5, 2022: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
April 5th, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am
This training will be held on Zoom.
Join us to learn how to use the iNaturalist app while you’re exploring the outdoors or visiting one of our preserves. iNaturalist, one of the world’s most popular nature apps, allows you to monitor and share information about all varieties of plants and animals in your favorite wild places or even your own backyard.
We’ll guide you through the fundamentals of using the iNaturalist app and show how you can contribute to community science by making nature observations and recording them. The data that you collect through the iNaturalist app can help us better understand what plants and animals are living on our preserves and can help you learn more about the natural world.
This training is part of the Protect Wild Places program, supported by the Consumers Energy Foundation, which is working to empower Michigan communities to support the land and water to restore 5,000 acres of wildlife habitat and recreational land, and 150 miles of waterways and Great Lakes shoreline.
