Arrive at 10:00am, for this two hour nature exploration event at the Hubbard Lake Nature Preserve. This event is appropriate for kids under 12 accompanied by an adult. Huron Pines will have learning stations that include a macroinvertebrate station with mayflies and water bugs to illustrate how water quality impacts insects, fish, wildlife and humans. Plus a nature observation station with leaf rubbing, animal tracks, nature journals and practice identifying plants and trees. The activity stations will be followed by a trail hike led by Huron Pines staff. Please bring a refillable water bottle (Huron Pines will have a water cooler). Wear appropriate shoes and clothing for being in the woods.
