Invasive Species Identification and Removal Workshop

July 13

More details coming soon.

This workshop will be focused on invasive species commonly found in local forested areas, with a special focus on invasive shrub species. This will be a two-part workshop. Part one will include a classroom portion where you will learn invasive species identification and removal techniques. For part two, we will head outside for a hands-on portion. There will be a live demonstration of removal techniques and participants will have the opportunity to practice using the tools as well. The goal of this workshop is for participants to learn how to identify invasive species and remove them from their properties.

This event is supported in part by the Michigan Invasive Species Grant program and Consumers Energy Foundation.

This is part of the Protect Wild Places event series established to empower Michigan communities to support the land and water to restore 5,000 acres of wildlife habitat and recreational land, and 150 miles of waterways and Great Lakes shoreline.
