Level 1 Invasive Species Training: Intro to Invasive Species Inventory and Management
Grayling Nature Center
100 South James Street, Grayling, MI
(between the American Legion and Grayling City Park)
Join Huron Pines for an in-depth training on invasive species management to improve the water and wildlife habitat in your area. This workshop is designed to give interested individuals and organizations the tools to identify and report invasive species to improve management efforts in their community and throughout the region.
During the session you will walk through a training handbook presented and created by invasive species technicians from Huron Pines and the Huron Heartland Invasive Species Network. At the end of the training participants will be able to record and report invasive species data, identify several invasive species, conduct property site visits, communicate with the public about invasive species and understand how to remove invasive species.
Please bring a refillable water bottle and if available a GPS Unit. There will be a break for lunch, feel free to pack a lunch or leave to grab some. Light snacks and water will be provided. We hope to see you for our hands-on learning experience at this free event.
Please register by Wednesday, June 15.
