The Hubbard Lake Nature Preserve was donated to Huron Pines in the summer of 2018. The 80-acre wooded property includes a mile and half of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and wildlife viewing providing year-round recreational opportunities to local residents and visitors. In addition to providing easy access to recreational opportunities, the preserve includes two existing structures that can be used as classroom or meeting space for local schools, organizations and associations.
Accessing the Preserve
The Hubbard Lake Nature Preserve is located at 720 Holiday Inn Rd, Hubbard Lake, MI 49747. The preserve has a large gravel lot for parking. A trail map in the parking lot marks the trailhead and includes an overview of the preserve’s three trails. The preserve is open daily from dawn to dusk.
