Hubbard Lake Preserve

We need your help to turn the generous donation of an 80-acre piece of property near Hubbard Lake into our first nature preserve. With your contribution, we can reach our goal of raising $50,000 to establish an endowment and ready the property for daily use beginning in the spring of 2019.

The Hubbard Lake property includes a two-mile trail loop for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and wildlife viewing providing year-round recreational opportunities to local residents and visitors. In addition to providing easy access to recreational opportunities, the preserve also includes two existing structures that can be used as classroom or meeting space for local schools, organizations and associations. The long-term goal is for the preserve to include a working classroom with staff to support environmental education curriculum and research projects related to conservation and land management.
