Huron Pines Stewardship Technician [Seasonal Position]
The Stewardship Technician will participate in implementing a variety of habitat restoration projects across aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in Northeast Michigan. Working as part of a team, this dynamic position will include controlling invasive plant species, completing large scale vegetation inventories, planting native trees and shrubs, and streambank restoration. We are looking for a motivated individual that wants to develop their professional skills in conservation resource management. Someone that will be a strong team member, help solve problems, and maintain a high level of on-site customer service. The ideal candidate will show meaningful experience in the areas of invasive weed management, digital mapping and use of power equipment.
This is an at-will, seasonal, non-exempt position. There are two open positions with anticipated employment from May 14 – October 26 (~930 hours). This position pays $14.00/hr., not to exceed 40 hours per week, with some weekend work required.
