The Huron Heartland Invasive Species Network (HHISN) is excited to invite you to our annual gathering. This is a great opportunity to meet and chat with your local Invasive Species Network team, learn more about the invasive species management happening in your area, and provide input on your thoughts and concerns regarding invasive species.
During this event, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the real-time survey of the Grayling Nature Center and City Park grounds. Attendees will have the option to choose one of three survey areas, each with varying physical requirement levels.
Following the survey, an optional ice cream sundae social will begin around 7pm.
All ages are encouraged to attend and are welcome to participate in the survey. Coloring pages and other activities will be available during the informational portion for children. Children under the age of 17 need to be accompanied by an adult.
The survey portion of this event will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather. In the event of heavy rain or inclement weather, all portions will be held indoors. You may want to bring a refillable water bottle. Light snacks will be available during the gathering.
Parking is available across three separate lots. Parking is somewhat limited, carpooling is encouraged. If you need assistance with transportation to and from this event, please reach out and we will try to assist.
Please reach out to Shelby Bauer, Huron Heartland Invasive Species Network Coordinator, at shelby@huronpines.org with any questions.
