2024 Trail Challenge
We’re still riding the high of celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2023. Join us in 2024 as we commemorate five decades of conservation with an exciting, do-it-yourself trail challenge.
Explore the region’s public lands, preserves, parks and trail systems, track your progress and achieve personal goals.
It’s free to join the challenge, and each participant who completes 50 miles between April 1 and August 31 will receive a commemorative vinyl decal.

Explore with ease! Check out our curated list of Huron Pines’ staff favorites for inspiration or venture out to one of our nature preserves to experience Northern Michigan’s natural splendor.
Track Your Miles
While we won’t ask you for proof, it helps to keep a log or journal to record your progress.
Share Your Journey
Post your highlights with the #50milesfor50years hashtag on social media. If you have a neat story or photo from your challenge, send it to info@huronpines.org to be featured in our communications.
The challenge runs April 1 to August 31. When you’ve completed the challenge, please submit the form below so we can mail you a commemorative vinyl decal as a token of our gratitude.
