Introduction to Invasive Species ID & Reporting

Huron Pines invites you to attend an empowering workshop where you'll step into the role of an environmental stewardship champion. Learn to spot common invasive species that threaten Northern Michigan landscapes and how you can take direct action using the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) app and website to report them.

MISIN is a powerful regional initiative fueling early detection and rapid response efforts against invasive species. Whether you're a seasoned expert, a passionate nature enthusiast or interested in learning how you can contribute to community science, this event will equip you with the skills to identify and report invasive species.

Don't miss out on the chance to be at the forefront of conservation! Join us and be part of the force protecting Northern Michigan's biodiversity.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. It is a priority for Huron Pines to ensure that our communications and programming are available and accessible to everyone. Please contact maddie@huronpines.org if you have any questions about accessibility or believe barriers remain.

We recognize that accessibility is not always possible in every area of our work. Our efforts are ongoing. Through a commitment to continued learning and understanding, we will strengthen our awareness of the barriers and inequities that exist at the individual and community levels, in order to advance more equitable opportunities to experience the outdoors in our region.

This project is funded in part by the Michigan Invasive Species Grant Program (Michigan.gov/invasives).
